Alice in Wonderland Photoshoot

A few weeks ago I did a photoshoot for my friend Sophie with my other friends Devon (Mad Hatter) and Darryl (Alice). It has definitely been one of my favourite photoshoots I have done over the past year and I would love to a similar thing. Recreating the book was not hard at all as all the girls were big fans and knew the book pretty well!

Hope you enjoy

I GOT MY SEPTUM PIERCED!

On Monday I took the plunge and got my septum pierced!

I am not going to lie to you guys and say that it didn't hurt because it was a 9/10 for pain. It was such a scary and an intense 3 minutes of my life (my friend said it took 3 minutes but it felt like 10). For a first real piercing, besides ear lobes, it was a big step because I know that it is one of the most painful piercing you can get because of where it is and the fact you cannot get it numbed as it is so close to your eyes.

Lots of people do not like septum piercings but I had wanted it for a few years and I do not want any other facial piercings. For me it is a good choice because it is symetrical on my face and you can hide it by flipping it up when you want (I wear mine down every day because I don't work and my college is obsolutely fine with piercings and tattoos).

It cost me £25 which I think is a reasonable price. The picture with the red lipstick was 2 days after I got it done and the other is on the day I got it done (excuse the lack of make up). At the moment it is a little uneven; however, when the swelling has gone down it will be even and symetrical.

If you have any more questions then leave them in the comments, thank you,

Mint Green Dr Martens

Well I only though it'd be appropriate to have a post actually containing my mint green Dr Martens since my blog is called that.

It was sunny today in the North so I thought I'd wear this dress as it's warmer but I also wore my cable knit tights and 60s style coat to add a little warmth to my outfit as we still have a chilly breeze.

Dr Martens: Dr Marten
Dress: thrifted
White Tights: International
Coat: River Island
Bowler hat: Marks and Spencers

Where have I been?

I have moved house and I haven't been able to blog for about one month.

The photos are bits and bobs I've been loving at the moment and a couple of outfits.

The book is The Fault In Our Stars by John Green and it was so good that I read the whole book in 3 days! The album is Whatever People Say I Am, That Is What I'm Not by Arctic Monkeys which I have played every day for the past month.

Lomography Shoot

Yesterday I did another shoot with my best friends Devon for my friend Laura. She does A Level photography at the college I attend. The theme of the shoot was that you never fully know a person and they can always hide their feelings/emotions/keep secrets from you.
Laura used a lomography camera that takes film.

The divide is created by the camera itself as it takes two separate photos and put them together to create one.

The photo was edited into black and white after it had been scanned into the computer.

Hat: Kangol (vintage)
Jumper: Charity Shop
High Waisted Jeggings: Primark
Lips: Rimmel 1000 Kisses Lip Tint in Carry On Cherry (600)

Dungarees and Creepers

The year 13's at my college are having a general studies exam this morning so I don't have to be at college until 2pm so I have plenty of time to get ready.
My camera isn't charged and I wanted to get the blog post up as soon as possible so I've just used my webcam, so I apologise for the poor quality.
My necklace was a gift I bought myself in Egypt last summer.

My dungarees are from a friend who doesn't wear them but they were originally from Primark.
The sheer tights: also from Primark.

White T-shirt, Bowler hat and over the knee socks: Marks&Spencer

Creepers: Office

As I had a lot of time to do my make up I chose to do winged eyeliner and pinky lips. As there is a lot going on in the outfit I thought it would be best to steer away from bold lips; however, I was considering a red lip.

(The blonde streaks in my hair are soon to be turquoise)

Thank you for visiting :-)
